LASD covers the county-focused side of Tropical Heat and gives players a different environment from city policing. Its role naturally supports regional patrol, wider-area response, and scenes that sit outside the core urban focus.

As with every THRP department, the emphasis is on creating useful roleplay for everyone involved. County operations should add variety to the world, not simply duplicate another department under a different badge.
